POSITION OVERVIEW 


GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 

The purpose of this classification is to manage the school environment through leadership, supervision, and administration to promote the maximum educational development of students. Responsible for planning and implementing instructional programs and support services, establishing goals and objectives to promote improvement in achievement, effective instruction, attendance, accreditation, discipline, and community support, overseeing school climate and safety, and coordinating overall activities on the campus.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Skills in public speaking; Demonstrated academic leadership; Ability to operate basic office equipment, computers, and software applications; Ability to multi-task effectively; Knowledge of accounting principles, finances, and budget management; Knowledge of curriculum, standards, and assessment; Knowledge of best practices regarding instruction and curriculum; Ability to manage, lead, and guide others; Knowledge of local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding education.

 

 

EDUCATION: Completion of Master's degree in educational leadership or equivalent 

 

EXPERIENCE: 3 years of administrative experience or what equals three years of experience

 

LICENSES / CERTIFICATION

 

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE: Use computers for word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or custom applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS: Indoor Environment, Outdoor Environment, Noise, Potential for violence/physical altercations.
